Membership is open to all that are interested in the purposes of SCC/MLA. The membership year is by the calendar year (January-December), and membership benefits include a quarterly newsletter,South Central Connection; an annual Membership Directory; notification of chapter-sponsored continuing education opportunities; and reduce registration fees at the Annual Meeting.
SCC/MLA currently has two membership categories: Regular (for $15 per year) and Student (for $5 per year). In addition, members may opt to join the SCC/MLA Hospital Library Interest Section for an additional $5 per year.
Membership renewal reminders appear in the South Central Connection and in registration packets for the Annual Meeting. They are also posted to the regional discussion list. Every member is encouraged to strengthen SCC/MLA with personal recruiting efforts among colleagues.
