Charge: The Early Career Librarianship Initiative is a volunteer-based group that works to create more opportunities for new and early-career librarians to engage in SCC/MLA and to grow as medical and health sciences librarians. This group exists outside of the formal committee structure of SCC/MLA to allow for more flexibility in membership and activities. Membership includes a mixture of early career librarians and those with more experience, and anyone is welcome (including students).

Do you have any projects (or any “dream” projects) that could use some assistance? Maybe a project that could be completed by a current LIS student or a recent graduate?
SCC’s Early Career Librarianship Initiative (ECLI) is launching a database to help students and early career librarians gain meaningful professional experiences. We’re looking for projects that can help enhance CVs and give our newer colleagues some hands-on experience that they can bring into their first jobs.
We are creating an online database of projects that can be completed in the SCC region- we are very excited to start matching students with interesting projects. Please join us for the piloting of this project. Formal feedback will be solicited at a future date, but please send us any feedback you have as you are submitting projects!
For more information please see the SCC ECLI Remote Project Information Sheet.
