In order to facilitate the publication of quality library research from the South Central Chapter, SCC/MLA and the South Central Academic Medical Libraries (SCAMeL) Consortium co-sponsor a two-day writing retreat during the SCC Annual Meeting for librarians who require additional time and support in writing research manuscripts—no matter what stage of the research process they might find themselves. So if you have a poster/paper from a previous SCC annual meeting that you want to push forward to publication or if you just have a great idea but need help getting started, please consider applying!
Instructions: | In 500 words or fewer, please detail your intended use of the writing retreat. Describe your writing project in detail and its potential value as a published article. Note where you are in the research/writing process and what work is left to be done. If you have some idea as to where you will submit your final manuscript, please list those publications. Set a goal as to how much writing you intend to complete during the retreat, and what your next step will be after the retreat has concluded. |
