Description:

The three library directors will share about their career experiences, library recruitment/hiring tips, and will provide open and thoughtful answers to participant questions. Come ask the directors anything you’ve ever wanted to know about library jobs and hiring. Kelly, Katie, and Stew had different career paths and are excited to share their experiences. Please note: This session will not be recorded.

• Identify job opportunities that are right for you
• Recognize current hiring trends and challenges affecting health sciences libraries
• Write cover letters, resumes/CVs that work for actual libraries (instead of theoretical positions)
• Discuss library recruitment and advancement opportunities
• Discover what library directors consider when evaluating candidates for open positions
